‘The Good Life’ Schedule

Friday, June 4th

Time Title Speaker

6:45-7:45 PM
Attending to this World Shaykh Haroon Firdausi
A common misconception is that to practice Islam one has to completely abandon the world (dunya). The Prophetic tradition, instead, guides a Muslim on how to utilize the dunya properly in order to attain the fruits of it in the Hereafter. As Umar (R) said, “[The World] contains our actions for which we will be rewarded in the Next World.” Hence, a Muslim must be acquainted with his/her responsibilities in the various sectors of life. Moreover, because of the connection between this World and the Hereafter, Allah (SWT) has placed worldly benefits in following the lifestyle of Islam.
